Yesterday, I shared ways for your guy to get busy in the kitchen cooking for you, so today is all about a romantic dish you can whip up for him! You may remember watching me prepare this linguine marinara with spicy Italian chicken sausage on CT Style News 8. Here it is again step-by-step!
Cooking for Your Man (Written for Engagement 101 Magazine, on newsstands now!)
Across the board, pasta with marinara sauce is a surefire hit. The red hue signifies romance and long linguine noodles beg for a little Lady and the Tramp slurping action. This vibrant marinara is
bursting with flavor from aromatic thyme, garlic infused olive oil and nutty toasted pine nuts with pops of crushed red pepper to spice up the night.
Pan-seared spicy Italian chicken sausage emits an additional complimentary element of heat, and will keep even your most basic meat and potatoes guy feeling perfectly satisfied. Want to really impress him? If he’s not the vino type, chill a beer mug in the freezer and serve him his favorite brew with dinner.
If baking isn’t your thing, make dessert a shared activity. Pick up an assortment of chocolates and take turns blindfolding each other. Feed one another different kinds while the other guesses the fillings and flavors.
Your other senses will become heightened once your eyes are covered, encouraging you both to take in the aroma and taste of every decadent piece. Bonus: chocolate is an aphrodisiac so make it sensual by surprising him with kisses in between, then carrying this playfulness into the bedroom once you’ve indulged in your sweets.
