Looking to get your kids in the kitchen? This DIY candy jewelry makes a great gift, and would be the perfect addition to any girlie birthday party! You can even take it to another level by having them decorate boxes to present them in.

Colorful ribbon or string is ideal for necklaces and bracelets, while pipe cleaners are pliable to form rings. Have fun making single pendants, matching sets, and mixing textures.

Besides allowing your little ones’ creativity to shine, this project encourages hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills while teaching colors, patterns and repetition. It’s even fun for the grown-ups! I mean, I can imagine…

Ingredients:

Lifesavers Gummies (any flavor)

Peach gummy rings

Fruit Loops (Cheerios work too, although less colorful)

You will also need:

String, Ribbon, Pipe cleaners

Instructions:

Cut ribbon/string to desired size. Tie a thick knot at the end.

Loop candy and cereal through.

Tie together at the end to create a necklace or bracelet. Cut off extra ribbon.

Twist pipe cleaners around candy or cereal of choice to make a ring.
