Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ice cream sundaes are by far one of my all-time favorite desserts. Ever since I was a kid, I looked forward to this sweet & salty indulgence swirled with marshmallow fluff and candy pieces.

And while I never feel it’s too cold for ice cream, a snowy day like today calls for cuddling under blankets with something to warm our extremities. I wondered how I’d be able to combine the classic cool treat into something more suitable for winter.

Enter: my Peanut Butter, Nutella hot chocolate.

It’s just as simple to prepare as the hot vanilla I recently shared with you, with no fancy ingredients needed. Just a tablespoon each of chocolate hazelnut delight and ooey, gooey peanut buttery satisfaction to achieve this mug full of heaven. It’s almost like drinking a mild version of hot fudge with peanut butter sauce. Plus, it’s packed with calcium, protein and good fat so it does have some benefits. You buy that, right?

If that wasn’t enough, I’ve topped it off with marshmallows (I didn’t forget about you, luscious fluff component!), a mound of whipped cream and of course, chopped Reese’s cups that somehow magically make their way to the bottom forming globs of melty goodness.

Let it snow!

Ingredients:

For Hot Chocolate:

1 cup of milk, any kind (I used almond)

1 tablespoon Nutella

1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter (low-fat works great!)

For topping:

Whipped cream

Mini marshmallows

Reese’s Cups

Instructions:

Pour milk into a mug. Microwave for two minutes or until desired temperature.
