Well my friends, out of every recipe I’ve created, what I’m about to share with you is literally THE. BEST. THING. I’VE. EVER. MADE.
This one Hubby helped with. It was a true 50/50 effort. It’s delicate and warm with an intoxicating sweet scent, and makes me radiate with sheer joy whenever I’m in its presence. It’s something we’ve had in the oven for quite some time, filled with sugar, spice and everything nice.
I am overjoyed to announce the birth of our daughter, EMMA REESE. (Fact: Her middle name is after Reese’s Cup…)

We reset the kitchen timer to 3:2:14, and I admit all that waiting washed away in seconds when she entered this world. I literally cannot remember what life felt like without her. This perfect angel truly came out smiling and we’ve been in pure bliss ever since.
If there’s one thing I ever wanted to be when I ‘grew up’ it was a mommy. More than a writer, or a cook or a TV personality. More than anything in the entire world. So you can imagine how important it is for me to spend these upcoming weeks being present in these precious moments that pass by so very quickly.
Lucky for us, Hubby has been off from work to cherish this time together. Our first week was packed with full days of non-stop visitors, balanced out by quality time for our little family now on week two. If it’s possible, I’ve fallen in love with him all over again. He was already the most amazing partner, and now I just melt seeing him as a daddy with our princess wrapped around his finger.

Bloggers don’t exactly get maternity leave, so That’s SO Jenn will be taking a brief hiatus, at least from the day-to-day. I can pretty much guarantee there will be a post here and there–Possibly some inspiration after a late night feeding or during one of her naps. (If I actually put her down to type, that is…) I may even revive some of my older recipes that you may not have seen, or forgotten about.
I promise you, That’s SO Jenn isn’t going anywhere! There’s a whole new world opening up for us now with even more family-friendly meals and soon enough, homemade baby foods, children’s parties and creative ways to get your kids in the kitchen. It’s an exciting time with so many wonderful things on the horizon.
I truly appreciate you giving me the chance to do what I love here each day, and supporting me on this journey. I have lots more in store for you…this time, as a mommy!
Hubby, Emma (who will now be known as MnM), and I thank you for giving us time to be a family. That’s SO Jenn will return very soon!

This is by far the best comment I’ve ever received. The recipe, however, is a family secret…
