With this crazy storm keeping us all indoors, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share some of the Halloween recipes I’ve been working on for my CT Style segment (airing today at 12:30 on News 8!) Is your inbox ready friends?
First up, some good ole’ fashioned dirt and worms. I remember eating something like this as a kid, usually served in a large cake pan. Swap the sloppy servings for individual party portions with these easy-to-grab cups. Smooth creamy chocolate pudding, crunchy crushed chocolate cream Oreos, sour chewy gummy worms and sweet Milano sandwich cookie gravestones make a treat that’s fun to eat and full of surprises! Try them for dessert when entertaining or as an after-school snack for your kiddos. You’ll never feel more alive!
Mini Graveyard Cups
Ingredients:
Instant Jell-0 chocolate pudding
2 cups cold milk
Chocolate cream Oreo cookies, crushed
2 package gummy worms (I used both sour and original)
1 package Milano cookies, any flavor
Writing icing, any color(s)
Instructions:
Pour Jell-O chocolate pudding package into milk.
Stir until well blended, about 2 minutes.
Mix in one package of original gummy worms
Crush Oreos into crumbs using a food processor or a kitchen mallet.
Pour pudding into individual clear plastic cups.
Top with cookie crumbs.
Write “RIP” or “B. Gone” on the top portion of each Milano cookie and place in the dirt.
Finish with neon sour gummy worms.
Serve on a tray sprinkled with more crushed Oreos and neon gummy worms.
Eat and enjoy on your day off from work or school!
