This recipe is simple to make, yet complex in flavor. A whole bulb of garlic gets lathered with olive oil and roasts until transformed from its pungent rawness to a sensational spread that melts on your bread like buttah. Slide some over a fresh baguette, toss a dollop into your pasta, or enjoy it right off a spoon. You’ll complete your meal and keep the vampires away.
Ingredients:
One bulb of garlic
A few teaspoons olive oil
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and peel away outer skin of garlic, keeping the cloves in place. Cut off the very top of the bulb to expose the cloves.
Place in a muffin tin or baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil.
Cover with foil and place in oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the inside is soft.
Serve drizzled with more olive oil or scoop out and transfer to a small dish.
Tell your salt and pepper shakers to take the night off. They won’t be needed for this.

I love roasted garlic. But don’t you think it’s even BETTER spread on bread and sprinkled with salt and pepper? 🙂
Emmycooks: Thanks for following along on That’s SO Jenn! I completely agree that salt and pepper enhances the flavor of everything. I do love this roasted garlic by itself, but definitely make it your own and season how you’d like! Enjoy! 🙂
