I made my radio debut on Westchester, NY’s WVOX yesterday (clip to come!) and wanted to bring something along to thank the hosts for having me on the show.
Since it was radio, I figured for audience purposes I should focus more on the taste considering it would be heard about, not seen. However, in my true Thats’s SO Jenn fashion, I still wrapped the plate of cookies with a fabric ribbon and attached a card on my business stationary.
When I arrived, they told me the live feed was being streamed by a small web camera! Good thing I still stuck to my true self with presentation (and even better that I didn’t show up in my pajamas!)
I needed a dessert that would hold up well in the car, not require refrigeration and preferably spark conversation. My decision? A brookie. Brownie batter in cookie form. A rich, chocolate treat with a crispy exterior, chewy bite and MnM crunch. They sound good, but taste even better!
Ingredients:
1 package of your favorite brownie mix (and eggs, oil etc.)
MnMs
Instructions:
Couldn’t be easier! Preheat oven to 350 degrees and mix your favorite brownie mix according to package directions.
Spoon mix onto a parchment lined baking sheet. They will spread in the oven so use an ice cream scoop for large ones like these (sometimes you have to go big or go home!) or a tablespoon for smaller ones.
Bake for about 15 minutes, keeping an eye on them so they don’t burn.
Add MnMs before moving brookies to a cooling rack.
Eat and enjoy the simplicity of this chocolate treat!
